Clients struggle to verify the competence and pricing honesty of freelancers when creating websites — there is no AI tool for real-time proposal analysis

1. Describe the problem:

For my job, I periodically have to find new freelancers on freelance platforms to create a new website for testing and launching a new product. And I constantly face two problems here: 1) how to verify that the freelancer is truly a qualified specialist and not a scammer or amateur who will deliver poor quality work; 2) how to ensure they aren't overcharging compared to market rates. I need a tool (for example, an AI agent) that could, in real time during communication with a contractor, analyze their proposal: compare the stated cost with market prices, check the justification of estimates, and help assess the specialist's competence.

2. How often does the problem occur?

The problem arises every time we start a new project and look for a contractor. Every search is stressful and a risk of losing money and time. The company allocates a limited budget for this, and we don't want to run into overpriced services or poor quality.

3. What attempts have you made to solve the problem?

I've tried comparing prices manually by studying different offers, but it takes a lot of time and requires expertise I don't have. I've also tried checking reviews and portfolios, but they can be faked. There's no universal and reliable method.

4. How much are you willing to pay for the solution?

We are willing to pay 5-10% of the project budget for a successfully vetted and completed project. I envision this most likely as an AI tool for scanning freelancer profiles and assisting in correspondence with them. The tool should analyze freelancer messages and proposals and deliver a verdict — whether the price is fair and if they can be trusted. Most importantly, it should genuinely help avoid overpayments and find verified contractors.
