Parents lack precise warnings about violent scenes in movies to safely watch films with their children

1. Describe the problem:

I am a parent from India. My family and I want to watch movies and web series together, but we constantly encounter unexpected scenes of violence or adult content that are mentally distressing for us and especially for our children. Existing age ratings are too general and don't warn about specific moments in a film. Because of this, we often avoid watching together altogether to avoid the risk.

I see a potential technical solution: a system that would analyze video and warn the viewer in advance (for example, 5 seconds before) about an approaching scene of violence or adult content using a color blink or an on-screen indicator.

2. How often does the problem occur?

Very often. Practically every time we choose a new movie or series, this fear and uncertainty arise.

3. What attempts have you made to solve the problem?

I can't solve this problem on my own, as it's systemic and depends on platforms and content creators. Existing solutions (general ratings) don't provide the specific, moment-by-moment information needed for comfortable viewing.

4. How much are you willing to pay for the solution?

I'm ready to pay a one-time fee of around $50 for a solution that would effectively solve this problem for my family. However, I understand the actual cost may be higher if the solution were to work for everyone.
