I am from Ukraine, living in the US for about three years under the Uniting for Ukraine program. The biggest pain for me and my family is immigration documents and the complete uncertainty around them. We filed re-parole applications back in August 2024. More than two years have passed, and there is still no decision. The initial parole has already expired, and the new one has not been approved.
At the same time, documents cost huge money. For one person, extending status costs about $3,100. For a family of five, that's many thousands. We pay government fees, file everything on time, wait for months and years, and still cannot get a specific answer as to why the case is not being processed and when there will be a decision.
Because of one document delay, everything else falls apart: work permit, driver's license, ability to plan life. It's a strange situation. A person wants to be in the country legally, work, pay taxes, meets all requirements, pays money, but the decision does not depend on them at all.
Another serious problem is the fear of ICE detention. It's especially hard for those whose initial parole has expired, while the re-parole application has been pending with USCIS for many months. You did everything required, but you don't feel stability or safety.
We don't need another case tracker; we need a service that reduces uncertainty. For example, an AI assistant that analyzes the case, predicts likely timelines, suggests next steps, and warns about risks in advance. Or a platform that connects immigrants with verified lawyers and helps prepare documents without mistakes. The main thing is that it should be in human language, without legal fog.

2. How often does the problem occur?
Every day I live with the thought that I don't know what will happen tomorrow with my status. This is not a one-time problem, but chronic uncertainty that lasts for years.
3. What attempts have you made to solve the problem?
We figured out how many American systems work, learned to handle documents, insurance, taxes ourselves. But we cannot influence the speed of USCIS. We file, pay, wait. We have not found any tools that would provide transparency or speed up the process.
4. How much are you willing to pay for the solution?
The price is still unclear. We have never paid for such services and do not know how much it fairly costs.
